So this is the front cover of a "book cover" design I had to do for English class..I will upload the rest of the cover here in a bit. I really like how this turned out...It's from Eragon, by Christopher Paolini. If you haven't read it, and you think you like dragons, you will be amazed by how much further you can fall in love with them. Masterfully written, I recommend the series to everyone x)

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactTaking in account the entirety of the piece, the placement of the main subject, the dragon, is bright and dramatic compaired to the starless night sky behind it. The moon does draw alot of focus away from the dragon and knight though. The most interesting thing about this piece of art though is the brightness of both the moon and the dragon in comparison to the jet black sky. I love the odd angle of the dragon's tale, though and find the lighting fantastic. The moon and the dragon both seem to radiate a strange blue glow. Unlike most pieces, you kept the focus out of the center making the piece much more unique and interesting than most other pieces of art. I love the use of the blues and the colors all seem to fit together. The colors add an aura of mystery to the picture that works quite nicely. A very nice piece of art.
