brilliant piece! Great composition, again. Very dynamic pose, of course, full of surf and motion, but also anticipation as she look across her direction of motion for her next turn. Good examples of diagonal lines of force, and focus, were developed by early 20th Century Constructivists. They helped break the static environment of 19th century visual arts in their work. Here is an example I drew of that, in a commission: dinsidious1.deviantart.com/art…

Big improvement on the shading! I get the impression this is a late afternoon scene. I like that the back-lighting from reflected light is shown too, but does not overpower the shading. Your highlights give the impression of surf-splashed skin, which is a nice touch.

The figure is slender and graceful, and is well drawn. She has better definition that your previous work.

The overlay of the water as she carves the turn is well done too. I also like the "lens refraction" of the sunlight above the board. Nice detail.

Still a bit of improvement on the anatomy, along with shading. The left shoulder seems underdeveloped, especially where the pectorals meet the deltoids. It looks a bit flat there.

The face is nice, but the mouth seems to twist down at an angle that is uneven and off proportion. Some more backlight reflection would help too. This would provide more facial definition, and provide a focus, which is important in the dynamic lines of her figure.

Overall, a very dramatic and fun picture! Now, where's that board?
